Appointments
Visits
To help provide timely service to our patients, we prefer to schedule all visits. If you are later than 15 minutes for your appointment, we may work you back into the schedule, or possibly reschedule your appointment.
- Patients are seen by appointment only
- Appointments can be made by calling (361) 853-3222
- The office receptionists begin taking phone calls for the day at 8:00 AM Monday through Saturday, and at 8:30 AM on Sundays.
- If you wish, you can call our office after office hours and leave a recorded message for our receptionists requesting an appointment for the next day
- These messages are checked by our receptionists as soon as they arrive in the morning, and they will call you back with your appointment time
If you are unable to keep a “well check” appointment, please give us
24 hours' notice.
If you are unable to keep a “sick child” appointment, please
notify us at least 1 hour prior to your appointment.
This way, we can offer that time to other families
Phone / Portal Messages
- Please call our office or send a message through the portal for non-urgent problems
- Routine messages are received during regular office hours
Appointment Required
Unfortunately, we are unable to see your child if you walk in without an appointment.
Sick Appointments
We make every effort to schedule appointments for sick children on the day that you call us.
If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to an appropriate facility
Well Appointments
Did you know regular well child visits are one of the most important things you can do to keep your child healthy? Well child visits also provide you with the opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about your child’s health.
Your child should have regular well child visits. We recommend that you call our office at least 1 month in advance to schedule an appointment with your child's primary care provider on the date that best fits your needs.
No-Show Policy
Sick visits: cancel at least 1 hour before your appointment.
Well-child checkups and ADHD rechecks: cancel at least 1 day (24 hours) before.
A missed well-child or ADHD visit without notice has a $25 no-show fee
We understand that plans change. After a second missed appointment, we will send a courtesy reminder of this policy.
If a third appointment is missed in a 12-month period, we may need to ask your family to transfer care — a step we take only as a last resort.
Medicaid and CHIP families: By state rules, we do not charge no-show fees to patients covered by Texas Medicaid or CHIP. Please still call to cancel so another child can use the time
